Belfast artist Siobhán Hapaska arrives at the Kerlin Gallery with her own inimitable style. Addressing a broad range of issues – communication, subjugation and domination, loneliness, hurt – she incorporates a number of different materials, ranging anywhere from trees to pottery, various elements and materials, fusing our world and the created world – nature and man – emotion and action. The elements always vary but the message is always there.

Expect what you want from Hapaska, you won’t get it. What you will get is her own deep rooted personal focus and artistic development pouring through one exhibition after another. There’s a broad window of opportunity to catch this exhibition – two months – and the Kerlin Gallery is one of the most rewarding galleries of the moment. This is not to be missed.

The Kerlin Gallery, Anne’s Ln, Dublin 2
