Tsang Kin Wah strays where few others dare in this interestingly-titled work, Fist Trumpet in the New Millenium.
Born in 1976, Tsang Kin-wah graduated from the Department of Fine Arts of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Subsequently in 2002-2003, he moved to London and studied Book Art at the Camberwell College of Arts; this period of time proved pivotal to his artistic career.
Using YouTube footage to create a black and white video, he attempts to piece together the shards of the September 11 terrorist attacks. In previous exhibitions he has used footage of 311 earthquake-tsunami incidents in Japan as well as famous court cases and trials throughout history.
This is part of 30 Years of CFCCA, an ambitious programme of events to mark the centre’s 30th anniversary.
